Chesapeake Crab Strata Recipe
Ingredients:
Bell peppers (red and green); sliced into rings
Salt
Pepper
1 lb of crab meat (sans shells)
1/2 tsp of seasoning (Old Bay)
1/2 tsp of mustard (dry)
8 whole eggs; whisked
2 c of milk
2 c of Cheddar
4 c of croutons (unseasoned)
4 Tbsps of butter
Instructions:
Preset oven (325 degrees F). Generously coat baking pan with butter. Layer croutons at the base of the pan then sprinkle cheese over croutons. Set it aside.
Mix together eggs, Old bay, mustard, pepper and salt. Decant the egg sauce over top of the Cheddar then layer the crab meat over.
Pop inside your oven for fifty minutes then let it stand ten minutes. Sprinkle rings of pepper over top.
