Oyster Loaf (La Mediatrice) Recipe
Ingredients:
Small French rolls
Butter; melted
1 pint of oysters; drained
Salt
Pepper
3 Tabasco sauce drops
Prepared cream (heated)
Instructions:
You cut off tops of rolls then scoop the center out. You brush cut-side w/ butter as well as the cored center. Place the rolls & tops in four hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit oven ’til a bit toasted (light-brown).
You saute oysters & stir in heated butter ’til edges will curl. Season w/ Tabasco sauce, pepper & salt & some heated cream as necessary.
Have the rolls filled oyster mixture then cover w/ toasted tops.
