Scalloped Oysters Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of coarsely-crushed crackers (soda)
3/4 c of butter; melted
1 c of dried breadcrumbs
1 c of cream
Pepper
Nutmeg
Salt
Instructions:
Have oven preheated to three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare 1-quart oysters w/ liquor.
You place one crumb-mixture layer in bottom-part of greased casserole. Have it covered w/ one-half of your oysters. Combine nutmeg, cream, salt & pepper. You pour one-half of this mixture over cooked oysters.
Top w/ 3 quarters of crumbs & rest of oysters. You pour one-half of seasoned-cream atop oysters. You cover w/ remaining breadcrumbs. Bake dish for 20-25 mins.
