Shrimp Patties Recipe
Ingredients:
3 c of water
3 Tbsps of butter
1 lb of unpeeled medium fresh shrimps
1/2 c of milk
1/3 c of flour (all-purpose)
2 chopped scallion
1 tsp of lemon-flavored juice
1 Tbsp of chopped parsley (fresh)
1/2 tsp of Beau-Monde seasoning
1/4 tsp of pepper
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of hotsauce
1/4 tsp of paprika
1 c of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1 egg (large); lightly-beaten
1/4 c of veggie oil
Instructions:
Cook shrimps in boiling water for 3-5 mins, drain then rinse w/ running water. Have shrimps peeled & deveined then chop & set them aside.
Have butter melted in thick saucepan placed over low-heat. You add the flour & stir ’til smoothened. Cook about 60 secs, stir constantly.
Add milk gradually into saucepan then cook mixture over mi-heat, stir often ’til mixture becomes bubbly & thick. Add the scallions, parsley, juice, seasoning, salt, pepper ,paprika & hotsauce.
You combine 1/2 c breadcrumbs, egg & shrimps then pour over sauce-mixture. Form into four patties then dredge onto crumbs.
Cook in heated oil in thick skillet over mid-heat ’til golden-brown, turn once. When cooked, drain well on paper-towels.
