Southern Fried-Shrimp

This famous and tasty seafood is really easy and simple to prepare. Essentially the required ingredients to make this really special delicacy includes 3 cups shrimps which are deveined, one and three fourths teaspoons of salt, one fourth teaspoon of pepper, one egg that is well beaten and half a cup milk. Also include half cup containing yellow kind of cornmeal, half a cup flour and half a teaspoon of baking-powder.

Heat the 4 cups oil using one saucepan over a heated medium level fire. Then drizzle it with the one and a half cup of salt & one fourth teaspoon of pepper. Then wait for about fifteen minutes allowing the shrimp to soak its seasoning.

Using one large size bowl, have the rest of the ingredients mixed in including, egg, cream, cornmeal, flour and baking-powder. Stir mixture always ensure that all items are thoroughly mixed. Using a food-thermometer, check the heating oil if its temperature has reached about 350 deg. F.

Arrange shrimps inside your bowl together with the batter. Have each shrimp coated together with the batter. Cook shrimps inside your saucepan by deep frying them. Cook shrimps for the next 3-5 minutes. Once done remove them from your hot saucepan, carefully arrange the shrimps in an eye appetizing and clean serving plate. Then immediately serve dish together with one delicious side-dish.
